Biography

Mrs. Devina Ramkalawon Veerapen Chetty brings over 20 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health within Mauritius’s public sector. She holds a B.Eng. (Hons.) in Chemical and Environmental Engineering.  Her work covers legal compliance, risk assessment, ergonomic safety, and OSH training, especially in the construction industry. She has led national projects, engaged in international OSH forums, and managed multidisciplinary teams.  Currently completing her PhD, Devina’s research focuses on enhancing OSH in SMEs, with a special focus on gender inclusion and workplace well-being.  Her recent article was published in Social Sciences & Humanities Open.
