Biography

Scheila Kraus is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington University in St. Louis. She earned her doctorate in Neuroscience from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Her research focuses on neuro-immune interactions in chronic pain and inflammation, with special attention to mechanisms affecting women’s health, including migraines and other chronic pain conditions. She has authored over 13 scientific articles, more than 15 book chapters, and has mentored undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Kraus actively bridges cutting-edge neuroscience research with translational and clinical applications to promote innovative therapies and improve women’s health outcomes.
